Under the city's phone book ordinances (123427 and 123532), yellow pages publishers can be fined up to $125 per phone book if they deliver directories to residents who opt-out at least 30 days before scheduled delivery. The ordinance imposes a recovery fee on the distribution of yellow pages phone books within the City to reflect the cost to the City of administering the Opt-Out Registry and collecting and recycling yellow pages phone books.
